Dream Coat ~ More Than A Thrift Store offers a unique shopping experience of top quality freshly laundered clothing and clean/disinfected toys to housewares. The sales in our store, barely covers our rent and utilities, but surviving to keep doors open to be able to give our surplus away.
Dream Coat takes referrals for people in the Knightdale area that needs assistance with clothing and housewares. Referrals are processed on an As Need basis.
Our surplus of clothing, books and extras, are given away at a local church every third Saturday, called Around The Tables. A meal is offered at noon, that we may sit around the tables and fellowship to build relationship. We take this event to assist our families at Easter with “Build A Basket”, School children’s “Back To School Backpack & Supplies”, Coats for the Community and Sugar Plum tree in December where parents select new pajamas for their children to have visions of Sugar Plums dance in their heads on Christmas Eve.

Volunteers: Laundry, Donation Intake, Cleaning & disinfecting inventory, store volunteers and Around The Tables volunteers. We are looking at adding a food distribution on 3rd Saturdays and will need volunteers. Trying to organize a monthly week dinner and need volunteers to help coordinate or to serve the dinner.
